Penny Barrow is a writer and mental health advocate. For many years, she has used journalling as a therapeutic outlet in the face of anxiety and depression. Through this reflective practice, she has often uncovered insights that have been instrumental in her journey toward acceptance and understanding of her mental health challenges. Drawing from personal experience, including hospitalization and ongoing treatment, she seeks to reassure others that they are not alone and that mental health struggles are not their fault. She continues to work closely with mental health professionals to maintain a full and meaningful life. Penny lives in Ontario, Canada, with her husband. Together, they enjoy a fulfilling retirement and cherish visits from their three adult children.
