Women Thriving in Leadership
Practices for Cultivating Wholeness and Community
by
Dr. Kathy Toogood
Women Thriving in Leadership is for all women who lead, aspire to lead, or wonder if they can lead. Dr. Toogood takes a holistic approach to leadership development, encouraging the reader to reflect on their experience and question assumptions about themselves and the male-dominated leadership norms they may have witnessed. Although beneficial for any leader, the stories from Kathy’s life and her twelve female participants allow women to see themselves through real-world examples. Combined with research and reflective prompts, this book supports you to envision a life of leadership that is influential, sustainable, and uniquely yours.
“Reading Dr. Kathy Toogood’s book feels like being welcomed into an ever-expanding circle of women who are redefining what it means to be leaders. Without being prescriptive or preachy, each chapter invites readers to discover the joy and efficacy of leading with compassion and passion, humility and confidence, care and self-care.” —Laurel Deedrick-Mayne, Award-winning author of A Wake for the Dreamland "This book ignites a powerful conversation inviting women to take their sovereign seat, fully inhabit their lives, and share their gifts with the world in sustainable ways.” —Suzanne Anderson, author of You Make Your Path by Walking; and co-author of The Way of the Mysterial Woman
