An unblinking, valuable portrait of hope. —Kirkus reviews In her inspiring memoir, The Birds Still Sing, Grace Tallman takes the reader on a journey as she provides a vivid account of her experience with postpartum depression. Drawing upon her lived experience she paints an accurate picture of the disorder and the role of resilience in its recovery. Women with postpartum depression and their families will surely benefit from her hopeful yet realistic message that there is indeed a light at the end of the tunnel. −Dr. Verinder Sharma Professor of Psychiatry and Obstetrics & Gynecology, Western University The Birds Still Sing contains so much essential, hard earned and compassionate information that has resulted from Grace’s own challenging life experiences.
