HOME- a series of short stories encouraging us to connect with what home means to us. It offers vignettes through a cast of characters in a variety of challenging, humorous, heart opening, fun situations. The poem in each story creates a rhythm through rhyme, allowing our imagination and emotion to flow. Every reader may identify with one or more of these down home humans- all finding home.

I was born and raised in small town rural Alberta along the banks of the Notikewin River. Home was a Nelson package house my parents built for their seven children. I married a local guy and we raised our family on our homestead in Hotchkiss Alberta. Home was in a grove of spruce trees with coyotes, wolves, bears, deer and the occasional moose as frequent guests. The northern lights were visible throughout the dark winters and long daylight experienced in the summers. Once our children all left the nest, we sold our home, bought an RV and started to spend the winters in warmer climates wandering and exploring. From the mountains, to the desert, to the seas, a question began to pop frequently into my mind. What is home? And became the inspiration for this series of short stories.
