Mind Works
by Gregory "Crash" Cooper

Upon diving into this unique collection of poetry, the reader will be taken on a journey through the innermost workings of a burgeoning young mind. Written by a teenager in love with music and girls and trying to find himself, the author recorded his life and his deepest emotions in these thought provoking poems. Some are funny, some are tragic, some are prophetic and most are about love. Everyone will recognize the emotions expressed by the author and laugh or cry along with him.

During the years 1986 through 1990, Greg Cooper (later to become “Crash”) discovered his voice and penned over 100 original and philosophical poems. Beginning at age 15, Greg went on to explore and muse on nearly everything he witnessed around him: his first love, the popular music of the day, the hypocrisy and ludicrous double standards of society, and the typical teenage confusion while growing up in the placid suburbia of Richmond BC Canada. Greg unearthed deep observations on the challenges of dealing with the angst of becoming an adult. However, in a prophetic twist, these youthful challenges would prove to be insignificant next to the hardship Greg would be faced with in the future….
