In a peaceful kingdom by the sea, a gentle young princess is given the gift of healing. Princess Rὸs uses her magic only to help her people—until the day the King of the North dispatches a crew of pirates to kidnap her for his bride. Realizing that she must not only escape him, but defeat him, Rὸs turns her captors to her cause and seeks out the King’s greatest enemies: the dragons. Together with the handsome Captain Karl, she befriends Drácor, the mighty red dragon whose mate is enslaved in the King’s dungeons, and he joins them in their fight. As the pirates draw closer to the Kingdom of the North, Rὸs must marshal strengths she never knew she possessed to save herself, her allies, and her home from a cruel tyrant.
Holly Stocking lives on Vancouver Island, BC, where she works for Ha-Shilth-Sa Newspaper. She shares her home with her common-law partner Sean Prpich, their two cats Scout and Dio, and their dog Tansy. When not writing, Holly enjoys fibre arts, painting, and cooking, as well as tending her medicinal garden. Guided by the Stars is her first book.
