Things I'll Never Say
by Olivia Loft

Written in the aftermath of a relationship’s end, this collection traces an emotional arc from the quiet unraveling of love to the slow, deliberate work of rebuilding. Moving through heartbreak, grief, anger, reflection, and release, Loft’s poems follow the space between what is felt and what is left unsaid. While rooted in romantic loss, Things I’ll Never Say expands outward, exploring love and loss in friendship, family, and identity. With clarity and restraint, Loft writes about universal experiences - longing, absence, self-doubt, and growth - inviting readers to recognize their own stories in the margins of her words. Composed of over forty poems, this debut collection is a reflection on letting go, finding meaning in what remains, and learning how to begin again.

Olivia Loft is the pen name of a poet, runner, yogi, and physiotherapist. Born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, she currently lives in Muskoka, where she balances her clinical work with a creative life shaped by movement, reading, and writing. When not working with patients or on the page, she can often be found outside running or in her kitchen, procrasata-baking, most often cookies or cupcakes. Things I’ll Never Say is her debut poetry collection.
