What Did I See?
A Walk With Your Imagination
by
Helen Centore
Let’s go for a walk together! What do you think we will see? A tree . . . or a two-headed dragon? A tall, leafy branch . . . or a giant’s fan? A weirdly shaped trunk . . . or a horse out for a midday snack? When we use our imagination, there’s no telling what we might find! Look around you—what do you see when you go outside for a walk? Imaginative play is crucial to every child’s development. When their desire to use their imagination is met, it validates their learning and increases their self-esteem. Luckily, imaginative play doesn’t need to be difficult. It can be as simple as going for a walk—or reading this book!
Helen Centore has almost thirty years of experience working with and observing children. She is captivated by the way young children act out their imaginary world through play, storytelling, artwork, and other forms of expression. Her understanding of the way children learn informed each imaginative page of this book. Helen lives in Ontario, Canada. When she is not writing, she enjoys hiking, arts and crafts, quilting, and reading. “What Did I See? A Walk with Your Imagination” is her first book. Helen can be reached at www.helensbooks.ca
