Life Lessons From an Old Guy
The Old Guy and The New You
by
Gordon Walker
Life Lesson If your spouse or a few people are telling you or indicating to you in any way that you have a problem, you probably have a problem. I really want you to grasp this because it’s too easy to just keep reading. But if you miss this, you miss everything this old guy is trying to help you understand, so read it again! Spend a few minutes letting the words sink in, and really dig into that statement, so you fully understand how important this time is for your personal growth. If someone were to ask five people who know you well—and their answers would remain anonymous to you—to divulge what they see as your weakest traits, what do you think they would say? Oh, baby! That is such a good question. You have weaknesses and you likely know what they are, but you haven't really questioned yourself as to why you are the way you are in certain ways. This book will help you to take the time necessary to really focus on you. It will ask very imposing questions. It will help to identify and pull those weaknesses out of their hiding places deep within your soul. This book will give you some insight into why you need to make changes and also give you some structured suggestions that will hopefully give you the strength required to become a better, happier human being. It took me a long time to realize I need fixing, even longer to realize nobody else can fix me. I came to the realization I couldn’t fix someone else. It was a big day—or many days—for me. I’ll explain those days in this book because they changed my life and enabled me to begin to fix myself. The primary reason I decided to write the book is because I thought possibly my learnings will help you decide earlier in your life to make better decisions. Life confronts us with a tremendous number of decisions, and my hope is that my book will help you realize that you have areas that need fixing. Maybe not a lot of fixing, but we all have flaws and faults that we know about. Only you can change you.
This Old Guy author cares about younger people and their life choices. He also cares about your choices, whether you are fifteen or seventy-five. Choices about relationships, personal behaviors, your children's upbringing and even your own troubled soul. The value of choices is training the mind to think smarter now so you can be a better "new you" later. This book will challenge you like you've never been challenged before. It will challenge you to become a much better human being, far beyond the current you.
