Outrageous Synchronicity
Journey to the Sacred
by Judith Crichton

Outrageous Synchronicity is a captivating memoir that will challenge conventional paradigms and inspire the reader to a deeper knowledge of life and relationships. Offering a unique blend of the mystical and the everyday, it traces one woman’s life-changing journey as she seeks truth and knowledge in the face of personal upheaval and grief. Judith Crichton seemed to have it all — success in a major international financial firm, a young family, and a sharp, analytical mind. But a single extraordinary event in her early forties shattered her sense of reality and launched her into a world of psychic insight, spiritual awakenings, and “synchronicities” too precise to ignore. In an engaging narrative, she chronicles incidents from telepathy and precognition to near-death and shared-death experiences and explores current science behind them. Emerging from the heart of this true story are several key relationships, including respected clairvoyants and their “superabilities,” those “special abilities the rest of us do not have,” (Dean Radin and Jeff Kripal), a 17th C nun and mystic, and a WWII German soldier ... Outrageous Synchronicity: Journey to the Sacred provides legitimacy to those who experience the anomalous in their lives. As well, it offers an invitation to explore what lies just beyond the veil of reality as we know it.

“As ‘outrageous’ as Judith’s synchronicities may be from the mainstream scientific perspective — ‘sinchronicities’ even — they are a portal to the mysterious and the sacred. As such, they reveal a view of time in which past, present, and future coexist, and in which all of us are connected throughout space and time as part of Universal Consciousness.” —Bernard Carr, Emeritus Professor of Mathematics and Astronomy, Queen Mary University of London; President of the Scientific and Medical Network “This is a very well-written, heart-felt, smart work, and an important one … a kind of historiography for which we have few models, and almost no recognition.“ —Jeffrey J. Kripal, PhD, Associate Dean of Humanities, J. Razor Newton Chair in Philosophy and Religious Thought, Rice University; Director of the Center for Theory and Research, Esalen Inistitute

Judith Crichton has a PhD in Comparative Canadian Literature with a multi-disciplinary focus, from neuroscience to the history of mysticism and feminist thought. Formerly Vice-President of the Prudential of America in Canada, she lives with her husband Fred in Fox Harbour, Nova Scotia, and sometimes, in the Town of Blue Mountains, Ontario.
