Dis-Shelter of Being
Poems 1978-1984
by
Bernhard Radloff
The poems collected in this volume offer personal and philosophical reflections on an age of disintegration. Written in the late 1970s and early 1980s, it is divided into three parts. The second Part arose out of the character of the author's experiences in Tripoli, Libya. The author writes traditional verse as well venturing more experimental forms.
The author grew up in Southwestern Ontario and on Cape Breton Island, where he passed three years. He was educated in the humanities at various Canadian universities. He began his studies at Memorial University in Newfoundland and went on to complete them at McGill and in Toronto, focusing on English and American literature. He now lives in Ottawa.
