Buzz
by Dawn Torgerson

Norman the elephant and Wig-Wag the snake think they hear a daisy sneeze. But flowers don’t sneeze, do they? Upon investigation, they discover an exhausted, wingless bumblebee named Buzz sneezing inside a daisy. Buzz has to work extra hard to collect pollen since he can’t fly—and he is allergic to flowers! Norman and Wig-Wag are very concerned about Buzz. They wish there was something they could do to help. But then they meet Buzz’s hummingbird friend, Whisper. With charming illustrations and unforgettable characters, this picture book delivers a message about the magic of friendship and the importance of helping each other out.

Dawn Torgerson is the author of Wild Friends at the Blue Pond: Norman (FriesenPress), the book that first introduced Norman the elephant to the world. Dawn has always loved hearing stories of any kind, and she is delighted to now be a storyteller herself. Over the last several years, she has created a whole family of animal friends that are always finding new ways to get into (and out of) trouble. She has a lot of fun creating these stories and is excited for everyone to meet Buzz. Dawn lives in Cranbrook, BC with her husband, Martin.
