Layla the Yellow Balloon Comes All Undone
by Louisa Lawson

Layla the yellow balloon is happy doing her important job: showing kids the way to a birthday party! She’s even secretly wishing that one of the children might take her home at the end of the day. Wishing and hoping are all that Layla plans to do. But when her string comes untied, poor Layla finds herself thrown right out of her comfort zone. She floats away into the wide blue sky, and into the adventure of a lifetime—but she isn’t quite sure she’s ready for it!

Louisa Lawson is the author of The Little Bird Who Was Afraid to Fly. She lives on Vancouver Island, surrounded by friends, family, and a big, lovely, orange cat named Thor. Louisa loves to hike, bike, and take long walks in nature. She is inspired by the birds, rocks, shells, and all of the cool, creative potential she sees in things found just laying around. Her illustrations are made mostly using the treasures found on these walks. Even Layla and her balloon friends each have a rock inside of their little balloon-bodies.
