Karen Grycan is a Canadian author. The second of four children she lived with her lively family in British Columbia until her start at UBC in the Education and Admin. Departments. Fulfilling a life-long dream to teach and mentor children of all ages and diversities, she taught a variety of subjects and student levels in four Canadian provinces. Her teaching gifts and creative interests led to an additional career in Home Décor & Design. Karen expanded her abilities by writing Home Décor and Sewing manuals. With the dedication and forever love for her two amazing children, their wonderful spouses, four delightful grandchildren and countless students, Karen Grycan has been inspired to write poetic tales since 1980. Her love of children, humor, rhyme, animals and verse has led to the creation of her stories. Karen Grycan and her dog, Claire, are presently living and working in Vancouver BC.
