When Gryphon Grows Up
The world is an amazing and wonderful place, in which young gryphons can grow up to be anything they want to be. Whether it is digging for dinosaur bones, exploring the depths of the sea, or designing websites, every job is important and has its own special rewards.
When Gryphon Grows Up is the perfect book for any child who has ever thought about what they want to be when they are older. With engaging, fun-to-read-aloud verse and enchanting illustrations, this book considers both traditional and modern occupations and reminds us all that young people can do anything they set their mind to.
Adrian Jacklin has a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, a college certificate as a vet assistant, and is currently working on her Master of Arts degree in Anthrozoology. Her family likes to describe her as a “professional student.” She is an avid traveler and lives in Odessa, Ontario with her family.
Her inspiration for this book was her own son, Gryphon. Adrian wanted to capture the warm, fuzzy feeling of happiness that she has when she looks at her amazing little boy and thinks about how he could be anything he wants to be. When Gryphon Grows Up is Adrian’s first book.
