A scientist who has studied animal behaviour extensively, CONSTANCE O’CONNOR is fascinated by the complexity of animal families, and enjoys communicating with children about the diversity in nature. Constance lives in Thunder Bay, Canada, with her husband and kids.

NATALIA ROJAS is an early childhood educator with a keen interest in teaching children about the value of different family structures in a simple, positive, and inclusive way. She currently lives in Liverpool, England.

LUCY POLEY is an artist and scientist with a lifelong love of nature and wildlife. She enjoys exploring ways of combining art and science to communicate information, such as painting illustrations for books! Lucy lives in Calgary, Canada.

Constance, Natalia, and Lucy have created this book in the hopes of making our human societies more inclusive, engaging young children, and helping them to see their own unique family situations reflected in the natural world around them.
