Faith and the Forest
Faith is not happy when her mother tells her to go outside and play. But suddenly an owl swoops by and Faith is on an adventure to find it!
But soon Faith remembers about her mother’s warning to not wander too far and realizes that she's lost! To get home Faith must remember everything (and everyone) she passed along the way. Can you help her find her way home?
Faith and the Forest is a fun and engaging adventure story that teaches children to be aware of their environment and helps them learn to remember sequences—both forwards and backwards.
"This great little story recognizes the curiosity that children have about animals and nature. The main character Faith encounters and interacts with a number of animals on her forest adventure . Problem solving is presented as she uses her memory of those interactions to think in reverse order and to make her way back home one step at a time. Easy to follow and an enjoyable read."
Tara L. Bushby enjoys creating with both words and art. When she is not writing she spends her time painting abstract acrylic landscapes, being an entrepreneur, and a mother to her two beautiful children. Tara's daughter Faith is her inspiration for this book, as she says Faith “has a wild imagination and loves nature. I want to encourage her to continue playing outdoors and using her imagination, rather than spending screen time indoors.”
Faith and the Forest is Tara’s first children’s book. She lives with her family on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.
