Annalise Has Allergies
by Liza Dawson-Whisker

Annaliese’s Allergies is a light-hearted poem about staying safe when living with allergies. It teaches a child that it’s okay to be assertive when it comes to expressing their needs, and there’s always alternative ways to have fun and enjoy life and be safe too. It also teaches children without allergies, to be mindful and aware around others with allergies, while keeping it whimsical and entertaining. The story was born from the author’s personal experience with visiting her sister whose child has severe allergies. It was a learning experience for everyone.

LIZA DAWSON-WHISKER, lives on Vancouver Island, Canada. She is mother to 3 girls and a 3-legged dog and has a passion for Flamenco dancing. RON MEERBEEK is an artist in London, UK. He has written and illustrated several children’s books. Thank you MELANIE DAWSON-WHISKER for all your generous help
