Rene (Lorraine) Rickard is fortunate to have enjoyed several separate careers. She taught school for over a decade, then turned to a business career, owning and operating a bridal boutique and ladies clothing shop. Her last vocation was as a provincial supervisor for a major clothing chain. Rene and her husband love to travel, especially to cruise and she has been to Thailand six times. In between travel adventures she paints with acrylics inspired by her Vancouver Island ocean views. “Footsteps of a Woman, Beautifully Adorned” is her first published book.
