Clem and the Grumpy Grape
by Keli Cunningham

Clem the clementine’s life is pretty sweet; after all, she gets to live in a big bowl with all her fellow fruit friends. But one day, despite the sunshine from Clem’s favourite kitchen window, a cloud is cast over the fruit bowl: Gus the grape is feeling cranky, and he’s butting heads with the others. Clem hates seeing her friends disagree, so with a little help, she tries to understand Gus’s feelings and show him he’s not alone. A fun, thoughtful, and endlessly a-peel-ing story, Clem and the Grumpy Grape invites children and adults alike into an important conversation about empathy and the root of negative feelings.

Keli Cunningham lives in both Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, with her husband Jeff. Inspired by a love of reading as a girl (especially anything by Enid Blyton), Keli began writing and eventually received a degree in English. Her other inspiration? Crafting stories that will create a kinder world for her granddaughters to grow up in. Alongside reading and writing, Keli loves volunteering at animal shelters and equine therapy programs, as well as hobbies like gardening.
