The Baker and the Painter
by
C.A. Fullerton
Madison Coutrane is an accomplished artist who finds peace and tranquility at her lakeside cottage, where she paints and gardens to her heart’s content. When a charming young man moves in next door, she finds his presence an unwelcome intrusion. Far more sociable than Madison, Kaeden seems determined to form a relationship with her despite their age difference. Their lives become intertwined, moving beyond friendship to a romance that is tested as their life paths diverge. Devoted to Madison, who he feels to be the love of his life, Kaeden refuses to abandon his goal of starting a family. Madison becomes increasingly forgetful, passing it off as early menopause, but it seems to be more than that. Can their feelings for each other endure the weight of different life stages and future goals? If they are meant for each other, will their love survive all obstacles? The Baker and the Painter is a heartfelt romance that shows us, while it’s never too late to find love, sometimes the right decision is to set it free.
C. A. Fullerton is a writer, painter, baker, and gardener. A visual person, she tends to write only when an image sticks in her brain and demands attention. The Baker and the Painter was inspired by her love of painting and music. Fullerton lives in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia near her three children, where she enjoys growing her own food and tending to her flowers. She’s still yearning for that quiet cottage by a lake.
