Solitude's Solace
by
Kamalendu Nath
Questioning life experiences - from British India to independent India; minority discrimination in the new land (USA). Entertains questions, as subtle as human nature to what’s hidden behind ultimate reality; perceived by an amateur philosopher-scientist. In various settings these constitute the subject matter of most poems. Partly autobiographical, it considers life and living in an analytical way.
Born in British India (now Bangladesh) and raised in free India, the author has spent most of his adult life in the United States of America, where he has earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. He has been in different parts of the States, over the past few decades. Currently he lives in New Hampshire, in a forest fulfilling his childhood dream. With his science background and his belief that he belongs to no land, in his writing he dwells into Life and Nature. His wife, a companion of his over six decades, keeps herself engaged amidst forest dwellers. Amongst others this year it was six Turkeys and three deer that she bade goodbye for good (Sept. 15, 1943 – March 3, 2026).
