Bonnie has always felt like the odd one out, and her father’s return could help her with her burning questions—if she can open up to him. Boone’s party boy façade has been hiding the building pressure of being the man of the house and of being responsible for his sister and his mother. While the family tries to reconcile their differences, a creeping evil strikes hot on Erebus’s heels, threatening to engulf them all. The three of them, along with Erebus and another hidden ally, now have to face what fate has in store for them. They can’t keep secrets forever. Sooner or later, all will come to light . . .

K. L. Turnbull’s greatest passion is reading because it can whisk her away to other worlds. She started writing as a young teenager to release her stress and emotional turmoil, and now that her children have grown, writing has helped her find herself again. She hopes to share the nurturing love of family in a modern world where twists and turns can easily become overwhelming. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, crocheting blankets, organizing, and hosting international students with her family. She currently resides just outside of Digby, Nova Scotia, with her husband of twenty-five years and their two children.
