Beyond the Woven Curtain
The Story of Andrina Mitchell/Muir
by
Sharon R Plett
Andrina Muir (née Mitchell) lived a life shaped by faith, devotion, love, and resilience in a world of hardship and change. Born in a sod house in the North West Territory, her childhood was defined by carefree days, farm animals and her father’s whistle, but that would not last…. Illness and conflict shattered her idyllic youth. Cast out by a close-knit faith community, her family grappled with separation and loss. As the years, unfolded, Andrina searched out what she believed and what she would teach a family. She wrestled with a quiet but powerful question. If one cannot attend church or find fellowship, can their faith still grow? In an eventful lifetime marked by the Great War, Spanish Flu, The Great Depression, WW2, and isolation Andrina endured, strengthened by faith, beyond a woven curtain. A sweeping, rich biographical novel, Beyond the Woven Curtain is a heartfelt and poignant story about the power of love, devotion, and the faithfulness of God.
Sharon R. Plett (nee)Muir, the daughter of Bert and Andrina was born in rural Saskatchewan. After moving to Winnipeg, she married John Plett and made their home in rural Manitoba.
