I Want a Different Car Seat!
Cooper's Car Seat Conundrum
by Serena Goodchild

Cooper loves going for drives in the car with her family. And she loves her grandma. So, a drive to Grandma’s house in the car should have been the best thing ever. But it isn’t. Cooper is unhappy with her car seat today and wants a different one. Her parents do their best to make her a new one from their surroundings: the clouds in the sky, the flowers in the field, and sticks from the forest, but none of them make Cooper happy. None of them are quite right. It isn’t until she returns to her original car seat that she realizes that it was the best one for her all along, keeping her comfy and safe all the way to Grandma’s house. I Want a Different Car Seat – Cooper’s Car Seat Conundrum is a fun and imaginative story, perfect for small children forced to rely on car seats for their safety in our over-sized grownup world and too little to understand that “new” and “different” don’t always mean “better.”

Author Serena Goodchild was inspired to write this book during a long car ride to Grandma’s house with her own family, including her daughter, who was only eight months old at the time, safe in her car seat but not happy about it at all. Serena currently lives in Marathon, Ontario, with her husband, Basil, their now two-year-old daughter, Cooper, and Tito, the family dog. Visit or follow the author on Instagram: @serenagoodchild
