Growing up in California’s central valley, Ashley Blacow-Draeger has been fascinated by the ocean since a young age. She followed her passion to the coast where she earned a BS in aquatic biology and an MA in international environmental policy. Her education led her to a career devoted to protecting the ocean. Ashley was inspired to write her first book by her infinite love for her son, the special moments of motherhood, and their cherished time reading together. She enjoys travel adventures and snorkeling. Ashley resides on Monterey Bay in California with her husband, son, and their rescue dog.
