Tyrant is a collection of stories exploring arcane realms and dystopian landscapes. "Harness,” follows three High Riggers hired for an obscure salvage mission on an alien planet. In "Tank," a reporter interviews witnesses to a drug den at the epicenter of a monstrous urban legend. “Brother Wolf” tracks a semi-retired couple entangled in the cryptic trauma of a destitute stranger. “The Twins," reveals a dynasty of unimaginable wealth with paranormal underpinnings. “Dirge,” finds a grizzled hitman at the literal end of the road. Within “Temple,” the "elite" gather for a new breed of blood sport.
Michael Wilde was born and raised in Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories of Canada. He is also the author of the short story collection Welcome Distractions, published in 2013.
