Water Cycle is a collection of deeply personal poetry about love, the connections between people, and our relationship with our natural environment. It explores the link between philosophy, science, spirituality, and the human condition through beautiful, rhythmic wordplay and thought-provoking rhymes. Poet Charlie Kennedy is a keen observer of nature and humanity, greatly appreciating and marvelling at our natural surroundings of earth, sea, sky, and space. From a young age, he has believed that spirituality and science are intrinsically intertwined, that soul and energy are one, and that experiences and emotions continue to exist in some form long after they are over. He shares that philosophy here for the first time. His compositions are experiential and observational in essence and often accompanied by melodies. He invites readers to join him on a journey through the complexities—and blatancies—of love.

Charlie Kennedy is a poet and veteran who retired from the Canadian Forces after serving for thirty-two years as a meteorological technician. Charlie still wonders after all those 24-hour periods why and how sobriety found him. He finds peace and solace in literature, poetry, yoga and science, especially meteorology and astronomy. In his free time, Charlie enjoys reading, playing and making music with his bandmates, , writing songs, and spending time with family, including his wife, their two sons and spouses, and their four grandchildren. Charlie lives in Cornwall, P.E.I., with his spouse and life-long best friend, Debbie, and their cockapoo, Bella.
