Angeline and Taylor Leibel are sisters with a shared love of children’s education. Angeline is an early childhood educator with a master’s degree in education. Throughout her courses and working with children, she never came across a book that helped children deal with grief in a child-friendly manner, so she decided to collaborate with her sister, Taylor, to write one. Taylor is a nanny and aunt who was inspired to write this story while watching her nephew put on different costumes and act out various characters. Thinking this would be a good way to help children process grief, she wrote a story about a little boy who uses an imaginary character to do just that. When she’s not writing, she enjoys baking and spending time with her pets. This is the first book from the Leibel sisters.
