Ruby the Australian Shepherd loves to go to the park with her pals. They have a great time playing fun games like piggy in the middle, barking at the humans, and chasing ducks in the pond. But Ruby's favourite game is hide and seek! One day, Ruby and her human, Annie, meet up with all of Ruby’s pals for a game of hide and seek. All the dogs run off to find the best hiding spots around the park, and it’s Ruby’s turn to seek. Will Ruby be able to find all her dog pals? And if she can’t, what will she do? Ruby and Pals Play Hide and Seek is a sweet, cozy story about friendship, fun, and problem solving. Anyone who has a dog—or loves a dog!—will delight in watching Ruby and her pals playing in the park, all while imagining their own puppies playing games with their friends.

Sherry Dowling is no stranger to the world of fiction: she first started writing short stories as a young girl. During the COVID pandemic, she decided to use her imagination to create a story for her grandchildren about her puppy—and soon turned the story into her very first published book. In her free time, Sherry loves hockey and reading, but she’s most inspired by her grandchildren. . .and, of course, her dogs! Sherry lives in Cochrane, Alberta, with her husband and their canine pals.
