The Messenger Bird
by
Rhonda Lee
Noah and his nana are walking home from the park one day when Noah sees a yellow bird with something in its beak. It is a message, and it’s for Noah! Mateo and his family have just moved into the neighborhood. Mateo has a yellow bird named Luna that he has trained to deliver messages. He notices Noah, and has Luna deliver a message to him. The boys write messages to each other all day long, and Luna delivers them. What are they writing to each other? Will they become friends?
