There's a Fractal in My Soup
by
James C. MacDonald
These poems engage the reader in a playful and entertaining journey encompassing all the elements of comedy, irony, tragedy, and romance. Enhanced by startling images and capricious humour, they reveal patterns often found in myth, dreams, and current cultural realities. With wide-ranging curiosity about all aspects of life and art, the poet enthusiastically explores the infinite complexity of human consciousness.
MacDonald once again delivers some powerful imagery. His poetry is all consuming. From short and rhyming to bold and bigger, the poems grab you, and the language is simply beautiful...enjoy. Kim Coates, award winning television, stage, and movie actor, star of SONS OF ANARCHY, BAD BLOOD, JERUSALEM, DOUBLE DOWN SOUTH, and over 65 films.
James C. MacDonald was professor and Associate Dean of English at Humber College in Toronto after being educated at Waterloo Lutheran University and the University of Toronto. As editor, writer, and consultant, he has worked for many publishing houses, the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice, and government agencies such as CIDA and APEC. He has also published various articles on education and Canadian and British literature. His first book of poetry is entitled PRICKING BALLOONS. He now lives in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada.
