Hobbledy Gobbledy Learns to be Thankful

At the beginning of the story we find Hobbledy Gobbledy’s day starting off a bit glum as he watches his friends out playing with all their new toys…he wishes he could have new stuff too. His father takes him aside, sits him down, and reminds him of all that he has to be thankful for and challenges him to imagine what his world would be like if all that he had disappeared.
Sharlene has been a life-long resident of Selkirk, MB, Canada, where she and her husband of 38 years raised their four children, Bethany, Jesiah, Trinity and Mac. They are now enjoying this next season in their life watching their ten grandchildren grow. Since publishing Hobbledy Gobbledy, Sharlene has been encouraged by children who have related to Hobbledy, and through this, have learned to express themselves. Her hope is that with this new adventure, young readers are challenged to consider and realize all that they have to be thankful for. Sharlene is excited once again, to be working alongside her son and illustrator Jesiah. She is thrilled that he has continued to create such fun-loving characters to join Hobbledy Gobbledy as his adventures take him on a never-ending path of learning.
