A Tale of Two Kitties
by
Lynn Wittenberg
Bear and Mittens couldn’t be more different! They share a home, but they don’t share ideas about how to have fun.
Bear wants adventures. She wants to pretend she’s a pirate sailing the open sea, a pilot flying high in the sky, or a mountaineer scaling mountains.
Mittens, on the other hand, prefers quiet, slow-paced activities. She would rather curl up on a cushion, hop on a lap for a cozy pet, or sit at the window and watch the birds.
This sweet story in rhyming verse shows us what can happen if we learn to play a little outside of our comfort zones. Even the most different of people can be the best of friends.
Lynn lives in Vancouver, BC with her husband and their cat Naima, the inspiration behind Mittens. She had fun imagining the antics these two darling and very different cats might get up to if they shared a home. She is delighted to have had the opportunity to work with such a wonderful illustrator. Anya is the CAT'S MEOW!
