Pet Surprise

The target audience is for kids in elementary/early education. The text deals with themes about the life cycle, metamorphosis, amphibians, nature, exploration & observation, caring for pets and responsibility. This story features a young boy who takes a fishing trip with his grandpa. He is excited to bring home what is seemingly a little fish to keep as a new pet. To his surprise, the creature begins to morph into something that is definitely not a fish.
Sanjae Citko resides in New Jersey with her husband of 10+ years, daughter and pet schnauzer, Sugar. She is an elementary school teacher and works with the special education population. She holds an MA in education and has undergraduate training in psychology. In her spare time, she enjoys travel and exploration, learning about new cultures, and diving into new experiences.
