Monique Durand Currie lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba with her husband Curtis and rescue dog Emmett. She is a special needs educator by day and children’s picture book writer by night. She loves to spend her free time outside, no matter what the season, hiking, raking leaves, building snowmen, reading in her flower garden and having fun adventures on her daily walks with Emmett. This is Monique’s second published book (see Under the Apple Tree). ABOUT EMMETT Emmett is a Shepherd/Husky mixed breed who loves being spoiled with tasty treats and midnight snuggles. After living in two previous homes and being surrendered to the Winnipeg Humane Society in 2019, Emmett is now living his best life in his forever home with author Monique D. Currie and her husband Curtis. Emmett adores being around people and meeting new friends on his daily neighbourhood walks. He especially loves playing with his best friends, Ellie and Lola, at their country home where he can be as high spirited and mischievous as he needs to be. This is Emmett’s first published book.
