A Mother's Tribute to Two Sons
by
Sangeeta (vainu) Airi
When we lose a loved one—especially a child— the grief can be overwhelming. Depression sinks in. Without an outlet, it can be impossible to climb back to the light. For anyone who is grieving, A mother's tribute to two sons can be the outlet you need to remember that you are not alone. This book of poetry was written in the loving memory of both the author’s human son Lakshay and her pet son Milo. Though they were lost in an accident, their souls continue on, and so they are not truly gone. This book chronicles the author’s journey to that understanding, going through depression, memories, acknowledgement, and the loneliness she felt trying to make herself strong. All profits from the sales of this poetry collection go to support the Lakshay Foundation, which helps animals and supports homeless shelters.
Sangeeta (vainu) Airi is a mother and poet. After experiencing the loss of both her human son Lakshay and her pet son Milo, she was inspired to write poetry. The words clicked in her mind, and soon she had an entire collection. Airi loves to travel and cook, and spends her spare time in reading and helping those less fortunate. She is the cofounder of the Lakshay Foundation. Airi lives in Cambridge, Canada, with her husband, their daughter Molly, her father-in-law, and the family’s new puppy, Oreo.
