Kathleen’s curiosity has led her down many paths, mother, educator, skier, mediator, builder, lover, and poet. As a child, she learned the Iron Curtain was both imaginary and a brick wall and that the ‘land of the free’ only applied to some. She has found solace in forests and deserts and encountered her wild in lakes and oceans. Recently, she completed a Master of Design where she explored how arts based techniques inform sense-making and lead to mutual understanding. She lives with her wife on the hereditary lands of the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc ‘the people of the confluence’ in the country also known as Canada.
