Beryllia
A Crystal Story
by
Adam Williamson
Beryllia is a magical world populated by four dominant races, each one with a unique power to control one of the four elements—fire, water, wind, and earth—using the crystals embedded in their chests from birth. In a remote corner of Beryllia, Stev, Lynn, and Kelm and their parents live an idyllic life on their ranch not far from the town of Maribelle. The three siblings’ joyful days are cut short, however, when their town is attacked by a masked man with mysterious powers and his ruthless henchmen. After barely surviving the assault, the teens set out to recruit people to help rebuild their village. Little do they realize that their journey across Beryllia will soon turn into the adventure of a lifetime as they confront all sorts of monsters and make new friends along the way. Soon, they find themselves at the center of a battle to save not just their town but also their entire world. Will they ever make it back home, or will they be swallowed up by the malevolent forces that are seeking to conquer all of Beryllia?
While playing video games like Ni No Kuni and watching TV shows like Dragon Ball, Adam Williamson developed a keen interest in what makes such stories work. After spending time dissecting plots and characters, he decided he was finally ready to create some stories of his own. This book is the first product of those efforts, though he plans to write many more. Adam lives in Richmond, BC, with his family, where he enjoys video gaming, working out, and martial arts.
