The Professional Adventuring Friends
by Brian Brown

The King is missing! He vanished on an adventure and no one knows where he is! The Queen, afraid her son will chase after his father and disappear too, locks him away in a tower. One day, Prince Jacob meets a talking spider named Jade. Now that he’s met his first friend—and had his first adventure—he can’t stay cooped up in that room anymore! So Jacob and Jade, along with the loyal horse Pax, set off for the distant mountains, determined to find Jacob’s missing father….and maybe have some fun along the way. This hilarious tale of new friends, new problems, and new adventures is sure to delight young readers, who will learn about acceptance, standing up for your friends, and always being yourself.

Brian Brown grew up with a love and passion for reading, and always dreamed of being a successful writer. Through a life of trials and tribulations, writing was always a hobby to find peace in. Years later, Brown had children of his own, and returned to storytelling as a way to connect with and entertain them. With each telling, Brown added a little more to the story, creating new adventures with the same characters. Gradually, he built the world that would become The Professional Adventuring Friends. It was one of his favorite parts about being a parent, and his decision to turn the stories into a book was motivated by his desire to leave behind something for his kids to be proud of, and to bring the same comfort and peace he found in books to other children and their families. Brown currently lives in Ontario, Canada.
