Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
Thirty One Days of Love
by Nathan Hughes

An Invitation into the Compassionate Heart of God Fearfully and Wonderfully Made powerfully reveals God’s unconditional, compassionate, and fearless love for His creation. At times such lavish and freely available love may not feel comfortable. In light of our mistakes and regrets, we often don’t feel worthy or deserving of such kindness and compassion. But as the pages of this “love letter” from God are turned, the inspiration to surrender ourselves over to this divine love will grow. Thankfully, God’s relentless love doesn’t ignore our failings. It courageously acknowledges them in light of his extravagant grace and mercy. It actually dissolves our lack of love for ourselves and renews our sense of identity as God’s beloved. This is God’s perfect love for us. Refreshingly, Fearfully and Wonderfully Made invites readers to settle more fully into this rhythm with God. The devotions, artwork, and contemplative exercises engage readers and offers generous space to remember and more fully embrace with radical acceptance God’s perfect love.

Nathan Hughes is an author, university lecturer, and retreat speaker. He also has a wealth of experience working with vulnerable individuals and communities, in both a counseling and pastoral capacity. This has inspired him to explore compassionate love, its restorative effects during encounters with suffering, and the essential role it plays for physical, psychological, spiritual, and relational flourishing. Alongside this work, Nathan’s ongoing passion is to help cultivate compassionate spaces where people have generous permission to experience a kinder connection with themselves, intimately grounded in the One who is Love.
