Reconciled
by Dorothy Spencer Golden

Russ and Claire married shortly after receiving their degrees from one of the nationally acclaimed universities in the St. Louis area. He in Civil Engineering, she in Accounting. Both had been hired by their number one choice for employment. Both were putting money aside in a joint savings account, hoping to be ready soon to take that step toward home ownership. But Russ begins to start doubting himself.

The author is a retired fifth grade teacher who enjoyed teaching the basic curriculum plus music, art, and physical education for eight years before taking advantage of an opportunity to help first-year teachers become more comfortable, creative, and proficient in the many role’s teachers must try to perfect. She continued her work in various supervisory and administrative roles at the central office in the public school system in Louisville, Kentucky, the city of her birth for nearly thirty years. Later she taught in the community college system in Louisville, and she taught at Spalding College (now Spalding University) in the Graduate Division, and in several different schools and programs at the University of Louisville, both graduate and undergraduate schools. Reconciled is the second book she has submitted for publication, but there are several more in line for future publication consideration. Reading, writing and music are her passions.
