To My Boy Baby
by Carolyn Trickey-Bapty

To My Boy Baby chronicles Ella’s love for her adoptive brother, George, through a series of personal letters starting when little Ella first dreams of her Boy Baby. The book provides touching episodes of their lives together from toddler years through adulthood and outlines the many complex emotions involved in adoption, rebellion, aging, and parenthood. Based on Ella’s letters to George, the reader is encouraged to begin a dialogue with young children to discover how they think and feel. To My Boy Baby is a testament to love overcoming all obstacles and passing down that love from generation to generation.

Carolyn graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa where she acquired a keen interest in research and still enjoys finding gems of thought-provoking information to pass on. She is the author of The Book of Angels, All Your Questions Answered, and Martyrs & Miracles, The Inspiring Lives of Saints and Martyrs, and is a member of the Author’s Guild (US) and the Canadian Authors’ Association. To My Boy Baby is her first children's book, and is based on her experience of not only growing up with an adopted sibling but also observing all the challenges the adoption brought to family and friends. Carolyn lives in Hamilton, Ontario with her husband, Eric, and Crofty, their Shetland Sheepdog, along with a large collection of much loved Teddy Bears.
