Where Does Daddy Go All Day?
by Alanna Allan

Do you ever wonder what your parents do all day? Do they take naps like we do? Do they get to eat snacks? Do they have any fun at all? Well, one curious little boy wonders that very thing, and soon discovers that, even though many parts of his day are very different from his daddy’s, some parts are much the same. His daddy has an exciting job working in construction, and he wants to be just like him when he grows up. With its fun illustrations and easy-to-read rhymes, Where Does Daddy Go All Day is a wonderful family story and the perfect book for any child who loves big trucks, is curious about what their parents do for a living, or even just loves to read fun and simple stories with a positive message.

Alanna Allan is the mother of two young boys whose father is a construction worker and who always get incredibly excited when they see construction vehicles of any sort. Alanna was inspired by her own life to create this story, showcasing as it does the importance of family, hard work, and the feeling of security children gain when they are given a clear understanding of what their parents do when they are not at home. When Alanna is not working or writing, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and playing baseball, as well as picnicking, camping, and fishing at their cottage in the summer. She considers herself very lucky to live in Uxbridge, Ontario, known as “the trail capital of Canada,” with her husband, Cam, and their two sons, Brian and Bennett.
