Bob, The Apple
by
Angela Bewick
Bob the apple is afraid of the changes that are coming with the autumn season. Watching his brothers and sisters fall from the tree is scary, but with the help of his wise father, his spunky friend, Robin and Mother Nature, he is able to see the possibilities that can come with trusting transition and being true to yourself.
“Angela's creative wisdom leads us to enjoy our natural life to its fullest. She has written a lovely children’s story of growing up and letting go; learning to trust in Mother Earth and our place in it.” —Brenda Gladstone, Grandmother and Co-founder of Galileo Educational Network “This heart-felt story is for children and parents alike. Bob will become a sweet spot in your bedtime story ritual. The core teaching is one we can all learn.” —Stephanie Hrehirchuk, author of Anna and the Earth Angel “This story is so simple and yet has such a strong message about children needing to find their own strengths - I believe this is a very powerful message presented in a most engaging, beautiful way!” —Lorraine Kinsman, Educator and School Principal A portion of every book sold supports children's mental health and food security organizations.
About the Author and Illustrator: Angela is a health coach, writer and lover of life. She got the idea for Bob, The Apple when her kids asked her over and over and over again for another bedtime story and when she couldn’t think of anything, her son said “tell us a story about an apple!” When she saw Sachiko’s drawings, she knew that she had to make a book and here you are reading it! This is her first book. She lives in Calgary with her husband and two children. Her favourite way to eat apples is straight from the tree or in her mom/grandma’s apple crisp! Check out www.angelabewick.com to learn more about her work. Sabrina Sachiko Niebler is a weaver and creative residing in Vancouver, BC. She is a graduate of the Alberta University of the Arts and loves a good, crisp apple! You will often find her at her loom, walking in the rain, or cradling her big cat Mo.
