"What If I Had No Toes?"
a summer day adventure
by
Lynn Kastner
In this story, accompanied by richly detailed drawings, we come along on an interesting adventure with an eight-year-old boy. Over the course of a long summer day, he meets five physically challenged individuals. He asks the people in every situation, what it feels like to be blind, or paralyzed, or deaf. With each encounter, the genuine, comfortable answers given to the boldly curious boy serve to enlighten him and by the end of the story, give him a sense of gratitude, wonder and purpose.
Lynn Kastner has been drawing since she could hold a pencil. Both art and music have been woven throughout the fabric of her life. While raising two families, she's worked as a hairdresser, a house cleaner, a musician and also a caricaturist on the popular waterfront area of Victoria, British Columbia. She has four children, five grand children and two great-grand children and lives in Toronto Ontario with her husband Barry.
