With twelve years of experience working with children and a degree in Early Childhood Education, Zahra Mahdavi possesses the academic background, as well as the first-hand experience, to understand the importance and effectiveness of learning through play. It was Yasmin Fattahi’s work with children in a creative environment that inspired her to work with her mother to write a children’s book. She was looking for an abstract way to express her love for art, vibrant colours, and the small daily activities that make life enjoyable. Both Zahra and Yasmin share a deep appreciation for children's books that are enjoyable while also serving as inspiration for the adults who read them. They hope Land of Fun will emphasize the importance of childhood play, especially as it helps children grow their creativity and sense of self.
