mud puddle, bulldozer, importance of family, grandparents, grandchildren, helping family in need, appreciation
When Stephanie gets stuck in a giant mud puddle wearing her favourite purple gumboots, her entire family rushes straight in to the puddle to rescue her, even Grampa in his old, yellow bulldozer. Will the fancy, high tech trucks and tractors get Stephanie out of the mud, or will Grampa in his ponderous, old bulldozer save the day?
Tim is the father of four fiercely independent children who taught him about the sacrifices necessary for the long and deep joy of raising a family. Stuck grew out of the bedtime story routine when he and his family lived at the end of their own long driveway. Today Tim is a practicing engineer in Calgary, Alberta, leading construction teams that work in the rain or shine, and he has been an entrepreneur, carpenter and a back country logger, operating trucks and tractors and bulldozers himself in the mud his whole life. At the end of the day, however, reading, and especially reading to his children, has been his particular joy.
