HAPPIER Humans
A 2020 Vision for an Integrated, Personal, Community and Global Health Promotion Model
by
Ann V Naimish
HAPPIER Humans promotes the philosophy of humanism as an ideal approach to life for persons hopeful of addressing the problems of our communities and our world. A model of how to be good without God, it examines religions and God-belief and suggests a better way for mankind to live in the moment and in the world. Using evidence-based information and proven science as its foundation, HAPPIER Humans functions as a guidebook to a more truthful and meaningful perspective on life. Succinct, breezy, and frank, it functions not as a dry academic text but as a highly readable summary of main ideas. And in the process, it provides a positive, uplifting message for all people interested in optimizing life on Earth. For readers with exploring, open minds, interested in improving themselves and the world around them, the meticulously researched and engagingly presented HAPPIER Humans offers a template for living supported by the thoughts of some of the greatest minds in history.
Ann Naimish has a BSc (University of Alberta) in Foods and Nutrition and an MPH degree (Master of Public Health) from the University of Leeds, UK. She practiced as a registered dietitian for almost twenty years in clinical and public health as well as teaching for Athabasca University and Mount Royal University (Nutrition). Currently she’s managing a small business with her husband while still promoting evidence based best practices for different life areas from the personal to the global. Ann is descended from a long line of liberal thinkers and politicians with her maternal grandfather a Liberal premier of Manitoba for ten years. Her father, however, was a strong conservative, giving her early exposure to differing perspectives. With HAPPIER Humans, she hopes to introduce readers to humanism as a philosophy that is inclusive and can bring all people to common ground.
