Calming Dr. Twitch-A-Lot Volume 2
From Heroic Fantasy to Human Reality-An Approximate Autobiography
by Evelyn Wolff

Calming Dr. Twitch-A-Lot Volume 1 culminates in Evelyn Wolff’s transformation into an artist. Volume 2 opens with Evelyn passionately embarking on her apprenticeship in stained glass. As well she trains as a psychotherapist and begins her Buddhist practice. Again Evelyn invites the reader into her world to continue her journey of self-discovery. Sharing her process so honestly and openly, we learn with her.

Like Chiron, the wounded healer, Evelyn uses her spiritual practice to turn the poison of her life into medicine for herself and then for others. This tumultuous but joyful journey clarifies the self-care needed to Calm Dr. Twitch A Lot. The knowledge and wisdom gained evolves into the holistic self-care program, Nourishing Ourselves, her gift to the world.

Readers in all stages of life will relate to the joys, doubts, and insecurities she experiences. Their minds will be opened by her discoveries that ultimately allow love to heal, even her deepest wounds.

Her stunning artistry is interwoven while navigatingchanges in career, locales, and relationships. The glassworks are metaphors for the inner masterpiece created, reflecting her life’s increasing radiance and joy.

Enjoy the ride!

"Bow to the humility of a wise, ferocious, lovable fighter of a woman attempting to carve away what stands in the way of her happiness. It is spiritual, funny, full of insight and always, always kind. 'It is refreshing, original and heart-rending.. Read it if you dare!"

—Susan Carnes-author/illustrator of prize-winning children's book, The Champion, and The Hotel Belmar.

"It's Wolff’s astonishing honesty… which makes this memoir highly significant. I found it lifechanging and trust that the well created by Dr. Twitch-A-Lot’s sharing of her life experiences will supply healing waters to many."

—Sarah Trevor-author of Divining the Vein.

"Full of the riotous humor born of no-nonsense self-reflection tempered with the compassion of “old age!” A wonderful touching, sensitive laugh out loud read."

—B. Glenn-Copeland, Actor/Singer/Songwriter, for Mr. Dressup, and Sesame Street. www.beverlyglenncopeland.com www.songcycles.com

"The book is engaging and evocative; the stories of the author’s difficult childhood are particularly haunting. …An engrossing rags-to-riches account during a tumultuous time."

—Kirkus Review

Evelyn Wolff photo

For forty years, Evelyn Wolff balanced careers as an artist and a holistic physician and educator. She taught, Nourishing Ourselves, the holistic self-care program she developed in northern Ontario villages.

Simultaneously as the designer at Wolff Glass Studio, she combines a finely tuned color sensibility with a flair for innovative design and engineering. Stretching the limits of this crystalline medium, she creates intricate jewel like pieces from lustrous hand-blown glass, freely incorporating crystals, shells, bones, agates, or kiln-worked glass. Fine Canadian craftsmen, Simon Meinecke, Harold Foster, and the Mexican team at Taller Vitrales, assemble her work.

Her personal healing, the radiant evolution of her creativity, and the courage to live a rich, full life, flow from her spiritual practice. Chanting Nam Myo Ho Renge Kyo for over 40 years, she teaches Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism in Canada and Mexico.
